What Visualping does
Monitor selected webpages for changes and receive alerts, with local and cloud monitoring options.
Documented features
The official listing documents the capabilities below. Compare the functions you need with the available platform and paid-feature information before installing. These are the developer’s descriptions, not independent performance or security test results.
“It watches any web page and emails you the moment something changes, with a plain language summary of exactly what's different.”
“Visualping reads the change and tells you what happened in one sentence.”
“Pick how often to check: every few minutes, hours, days, or weeks.”
“Tell Visualping what you're monitoring for on the page”
“Get an alert the moment something important changes.”
“Visualping AI reads the change for you:”
Installing and opening Visualping
Open the Chrome Web Store link, confirm Visualping: Website change detection, monitoring and alerts and the publisher Serge Salager, then select Add to Chrome. Read the requested permissions before confirming. After installation, Chrome’s Extensions menu provides access to the extension; pinning its toolbar icon is optional. To disable or remove it later, use Chrome’s Manage Extensions page.
The manifest declares a toolbar action. Use its toolbar entry to open the extension’s action.
Using the documented workflow
Start with the operation that matches your task. The following actions are documented in the official listing; they are separate usage options, not a sequence that every user must complete. For controls not named here, consult https://visualping.io/faq rather than assuming a particular button or menu exists.
“Click Visualping on any page you want to watch.”
“Paid plans add SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Sheets.”
“Run as many local monitors as you want, free.”
“For pages you want checked even when your browser is closed, a free account includes 5 cloud monitors, and paid plans add more.”
Platforms, version and interface languages
Verified store editions: Chrome. The captured version is 4.12.4, with an update date of 2026-07-24. Version numbers and release timing can differ between stores. Only the browser-store buttons shown here were verified. A shared browser engine does not establish a separate official store edition.
The official store lists 1 interface languages. The supported-language tags on this page come from that product metadata; they are separate from the eight languages available for this guide. Check the current store if a particular language is essential to your workflow.
Price and paid features
The developer describes a free tier, trial or free version alongside paid features. Check the official website for the current feature limits and price in your region. Installing the browser package and subscribing to a connected service are separate actions; a browser-store button alone does not establish which paid features are included.
Permissions, privacy and practical limits
The published extension manifest lists these API permissions: unlimitedStorage, storage, activeTab, tabs, notifications, scripting, offscreen, cookies, alarms, webNavigation, sidePanel, favicon. These are declared capabilities, not proof of what data the developer actually collects. Review Chrome’s installation prompt and the developer’s privacy policy (http://visualping.io/privacy) before granting access.
Chrome’s extension details let you inspect site access and disable the extension. If an expected control does not appear, check that the extension is enabled and that the current site is one supported in its description. Do not extend access to every site merely to troubleshoot a single website.
